Founded on the initiative of Raoudha Mansour, veterinary surgeon, who is its president, SOS Animaux is a Tunisian association that will be 10 years old in October 2017.
In the absence of human and material resources, the association was not able to carry out, as far as it wished, its ambitious program of raising awareness of public opinion and public authorities, educational action in schools, sterilization and vaccination campaigns of stray animals (dogs and cats), but it has continued relentlessly through its shelter its fundamental objectives:
– To combat animal abuse.
– Protect and help suffering animals.
The refuge shelters animals rescued from the street, giving priority to the sick, handicapped and injured and its capacities of reception depend on the future adoptions and the financial means to nourish, treat, vaccinate and sterilize these animals.
Adoptions and gifts are thus the two engines that can allow the association to continue its work.
Les Néréides Loves Animals helped this association with the amount of 5000 euros, in order to alleviate it in its daily life, helping to buy food, medicines and also to pay wages.
